Jigsaw Club
Our next Saturday Jigsaw club is on Friday 30th March at 10.15am followed by Service in St. James’ Church at 12noon and Easter Egg Hunt. We look forward to seeing you.

Jigsaw Club meets in St Mary’s Doneraile and in St. James’ Mallow each month on some Sundays and Saturdays. Please see Ina Lillis or Chris Bond for details of meeting times. If you are musical and play an instrument and would be interested in helping with Jigsaw club on a Saturday please contact Chris to discuss.

Alzheimer’s Tea Day
It is that time of year again when the Alzheimer Society of Ireland ask people to host Tea Day’s around the country. Diana and Mark Buckley, Bridgetown, Castletownroche will host a tea party on Friday 4th May from 11.00am to 1.00pm and from 8pm till late. So if you are free please come along for a cup of tea/coffee and cake.  Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Mothering Sunday
Mothering Sunday was on the 11th March. Thanks to all who organised flowers in each of the three churches for all the ladies and for all those who ‘Mother us’.

Sympathy
We extend our sympathy to Hazel Ladd on the death of her aunt, Eveline Margaret St. Leger, in Cork and to all the St. Leger family and also to David Deane on the death of his uncle Noel Hales and all the Hales family. Also to Pavlina Amelie on the death of her father.

Notes from Easter Vestry 22/3/2018
Linda Deane was elected as Secretary to the Easter Vestry. The minutes of the previous meeting were read approved and signed. Jackie presented the Finance Report and if anyone wanted to asked questions they could. If anyone is paying more than €250 to the parish and want to allow the parish to claim back the tax
they can contact Jackie and she will get the relevant information that is required to do so. The Rector gave her report. She thanked everyone for everything they do in the parish. Thanks to the out going vestry members, wardens, glebewardens, Treasurer Jackie Nagle and Secretary Linda Deane. The ministry team Avril Gubbins, Emmanuel Adebisi and Susan Buckley for both ministry and music.  Canon Tom Sherlock for standing in while the Rector is away. Thanks to Chris Bond, Ina Lillis and the team for the improved Children’s work. To the maintenance committees and to Victor Wolfe for Health and Safety. Fundraising  people for the fete and the Concert. To Susan Brennan and family for the Christmas Concert. And to Ina Lillis and team for the Concert in Doneraile.  Charting the Future with Confidence Roadshow will be coming. Dates and venues will be published later.  There was 1 Baptism in Doneraile and 8 in Mallow, 5 were Confirmed, 2 Marriages in Castletownroche and 8 burials in the parish.  A minutes silence was kept for all those who passed away here during the year as well as family, friends and parishioners.
A presentation was made to Mr. John Nagle who retired as parish treasurer last year. He took up the position on the 14th April 1994.

The meeting closed with a cup of tea.
A Short vestry meeting was held then and Linda Deane was re-elected as Secretary and Jackie Nagle as Treasurer.
